I work actively and collaboratively with clients to identify therapeutic concerns and goals. My style of treatment creates an empathic, curious, and welcoming space for ‘play’. I encourage an exploratory and empowered approach towards adjustment and change. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic, relational and culturally- informed frameworks; I integrate therapeutic techniques and support insight-oriented work with cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness strategies.
I treat a wide range of mental health issues and specialize in anxiety, trauma, depression, immigration and life transitions, relationship difficulties and adjustment struggles. I enjoy providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
Psychodynamic Therapy is insight-oriented approach, which supports greater understanding of oneself and others. This is an active exploration, which aims to uncover unhealthy underlying patterns of thoughts, behaviors, and relationships formed in earlier stages of life. The therapeutic relationship fosters the awareness and empowerment required for an adaptive change in these patterns. The process includes deep understanding and clarification of one’s feelings and experiences, self exploration, and introspection, and promotes personal growth and positive change in one’s emotional and relational approach and abilities.
